Team Outline

In Japan, children are decreasing in recent years, and elderly people are rapidly increasing. Along with this, the labor force is decreasing, and the elderly 's care cost increases. In these communities, stakeholders with multiple expertise collaborate to create value for customers or one another.

Therefore, our team develops technologies to enhance the intelligence (observation, judgment, cooperation) of people in each community. We will increase their observation ability by information sharing technologies of awareness and action measurement technologies of human behavior and body motion. We will raise their judgment ability by knowledge structuring technology that helps organize the knowledge of activities. Daily activity modeling technology and new service design technology will enhance cooperation both inside and outside of the community. This technology is aimed at reducing risk, improving productivity, and improving quality of service. As such community, we target on not only nursing care, nursing, health promotion but also education and manufacturing industry.

The international workshop on "Knowledge Explication for Industry (kNeXI)" will be held as follows.

Workshop theme is making knowledge explicit and shared in order to following two goals:
1. Enhancement of awareness, decision-making, teamwork based on shared knowledge
2. Automation of simple work based on shared knowledge
