Social Intelligence Research Team
Team Outline
Rational social system design is required recently, because social systems are tightly coupled with interactions among multiple people and services by information technologies. To establish an engineering framework to support such design, our team focuses on technologies to sense and simulate human behaviors in social level toward evaluation and prediction of effects of new social-level services.
For the simulation, we model humans as intelligent agents who can make decisions based on situations and their own purposes. The simulation will be run on high-performance computing infrastructure exhaustively to extract global features of simulated services or phenomena. Based on the exhaustive simulation, we try to establish technologies to estimate possible troubles and effectiveness of social service systems like new public transportation and control of people in large scale events or disasters.
