Embodied AI Research Team - Pioneering the Future of Physical AI
In recent years, artificial intelligence has made remarkable progress by leveraging the vast amount of data available on the internet. However, data and experiences involving the physical body remain largely underutilized. The Embodied AI Research Team focuses on this crucial aspect of embodiment, conducting research to enable AI and robots to interact more deeply with the real world.
We explore how to collect, augment, and learn from physical data and embodied experiences that do not exist on the web, while developing foundational technologies for the next generation of robots and AI. Our work contributes to the development of foundation models for embodied intelligence--enabling broader societal implementation of AI and robotics, and opening up new applications where AI operates with a sense of physical presence. Our ultimate goal is to realize AI that can engage with people naturally and live alongside us as part of everyday life. Through advancing research into embodied intelligence, we aim to contribute to a future where AI plays a meaningful role in human society.
