Outline of the study: 
To facilitate reuse, cooperation and parallelization of constraint
solvers, a new execution model has been defined for distributed-memory
systems.  Existing solvers are re-used as operators, cooperation comes
from mixing different solvers and data-parallel solving is programmed
in bulk-synchronous mode.  The three paradigms can be dynamically
combined in the BS-Solve system.

Research Period: 
One year, during the French academic year 1997-98.
